The Oneida County Overdose Response Team has issued a spike alert message for an increase in heroin and opioid overdoses and a public health alert regarding minors overdosing on marijuana and pills.

Oneida County Opioid Task Force Announces Peer Alliance Program

Oneida County Overdose Response Team Issues Tainted Drug Warning

Oneida County Overdose Response Team issues public warning regarding cocaine-related fatalities that occurred in the City of Utica on 9/4/21 in less than a 24 hour period.  The circumstances surrounding these two deaths lead officials to believe that cocaine laced with fentanyl may be involved in the fatalities. 

Oneida County Opioid Task Force Launches New Website On Overdose Awareness Day

In honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr., Sheriff Robert Maciol and District Attorney Scott McNamara announced the launch of a new website for the Oneida County Opioid Task Force and announced new initiatives including street engagement teams and emergency Narcan cabinets aimed at preventing overdose deaths.
